The National Certificate in Hospitality Cookery (Level 2) – TEC Youth Guarantee is an example of one of the many courses offered in Auckland. It is provided at the Auckland Hotel and Chefs Training School. This course is offered in-class only within Auckland and is designed as a career awareness course with a National Qualification.

It’s offered full-time and takes place over 26 weeks and is specifically aimed towards 16-19-year olds with interest in the hospitality industry. The course provides highly useful information on food, beverage and barista skills. It provides an excellent beginning to a pathway as a chef arena or can assist in preparation for further education in professional cookery.
