This Graduate Diploma will provide you with work-ready skills and specific knowledge to effectively use IT tools to support management in making informed business decisions, which will benefit SME, NGOs, Māori and Pacific businesses and communities. Integrated Marketing Communications is an approach to promote a message through multiple strategies that reinforce one another and ensures these messages are amplified through multiple marketing channels. Studying this, you’ll gain advanced knowledge of consumer behaviour, social media, brand management, digital and services marketing, entrepreneurship and new venturing. This diploma will also incorporate a focus on the importance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and biculturalism and how it might apply in a professional context. - Entrepreneurship & New Venturing: This course provides students an opportunity to investigate the nature and challenges of entrepreneurial activities and new venturing, and to provide the skills to develop the relationship between creative ideas, innovations, and business opportunities to market and launch new products and services
- Emerging Trends & Technologies in Integrated Marketing Communications: This course provides students with an opportunity to explore emerging trends and technologies in the field of integrated marketing communications. Students will apply research methodologies, analyse issues surrounding the trends and technologies, conduct SWOT analysis for applicability to a business to produce research output, and communicate research outputs to technical or non-technical audiences
- Digital Marketing: This course provides an opportunity to develop an understanding of the emerging global trends in digital marketing, analysing the opportunities, challenges and risks in implementing digital marketing strategies as part of the marketing mix. Learners will develop skills in planning a digital marketing strategy that integrates with an offline marketing campaign, evaluating and selecting appropriate digital technologies and the techniques and performance measures required to manage digital marketing strategies effectively
- Brand Management: This course provides students with an opportunity to analyse branding as a business decision making approach, develop branding strategies to create informed marketing decisions, and explore branding issues relevant business success
- Capstone Project (IMC): This Capstone Project will allow the Graduate Diploma in Integrated Marketing Communications students an opportunity to integrate and apply their critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, communications, technical knowledge, research, and interdisciplinary skills gained throughout the graduate diploma programme to solve a real-world problem. The Capstone Project will showcase the student’s industry knowledge, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities to meet the client brief and meet the graduate profile outcomes

- Relevant and recognised degree level qualification equivalent to at least 360 credits at NZQA Level 7 or equivalent

- IELTS Academic score of 6.0 with no band less than 5.5 or equivalent
